Nature Connection Field Trip at Embercombe 2024

I am excited to announce an upcoming trip to Embercombe on Saturday 20th April 2024. Embercombe is a beautiful 50-acre rewilding estate and low-impact education project set in the woodlands near Dartmoor.

Reconnect to the natural world with a rich programme of sessions on rewilding, wildlife and plant-life identification, ceremony, fire-building and more! This is an exciting opportunity to explore non-formal approaches to teaching/learning about ecological and social sustainability, and to meet others interested in these topics. Our first trip to Embercombe was very popular, watch this video to hear from attendees (credit to Dr. Andy Wakefield)

All UoB staff and students are welcome to join. Ticket includes return coach travel from the university, a full day's activities and a nourishing plant based lunch. The coach will leave at around 8am from outside the University of Bristol Indoor Sports Centre, Tyndall Avenue, BS8 1TP, returning for 7pm.

Book by Friday 23rd February for our early bird offer price of £20! (standard ticket £25)*. Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

*This trip is subsidised by the Education for Sustainable Development Network for University staff and students. External guests may be able to buy a non-subsidised ticket, subject to availability.
