Adult entry to Botanic Garden

Description

Adult entry to University of Bristol Botanic Garden. Please supply the date of your visit during the check out process.

Did you know that the University is a charity?
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can choose to make a gift aid donation of 10% or more on top of the standard entry fees. This allows the University of Bristol Botanic Garden to claim an extra 25 per cent refund of tax from the government on each paid adult entry which will help to fund the development of the Botanic Garden. All we need is your name and home address (which will be kept securely) and we can then reclaim this money directly from HM Revenue and Customs. You may only make a gift aid donation for yourself or your family.

Adult Entry is £9.00 per person (£9.90 or £12 with Gift Aid Donation)
University of Bristol Staff Entry is £5.00 per person (£5.50 or £7 with Gift Aid Donation)

If you are in one of the categories for free entry to the garden, there is no need to pay an entry fee. Please report to the Welcome Lodge on arrival with proof of your eligibility for free entry.

Those who are entitled to free entry are:  Children under 18, University of Bristol Students, including alumni, Students from other institutions, Members of the Friends of the Botanic Garden, Carer of a visitor.

Description

In 2014 the Friends of the University of Bristol Botanic Garden published a cookbook with recipes for some of the delicious cakes and biscuits which had been produced by volunteers for the staff and volunteers in the mess room during the early years of the Botanic Garden’s development at The Holmes. Some of the recipes have also been used by volunteers for our open gardens scheme to provide refreshments to visitors.

Whilst many of these recipes are still being enjoyed by those of us who purchased the book, it has been pointed out that many newcomers to the Friends and volunteers may not have had this chance.

We arranged for it to be reprinted early in 2020 and it was going to be available from the Botanic Garden at the Easter Sculpture Festival and thereafter at the Friends’ gardens opening during the summer. Unfortunately as we all know the pandemic stopped all events and we are now making this available through the University of Bristol online shop.

We do hope you enjoy trying out the recipes. All proceeds will go to the Friends’ Education and Training Fund.

Note: You will receive email confirmation of your purchase but as volunteer access to the Botanic Garden is currently limited there may be a slight delay. We will try to ensure this is posted within 2 weeks of your order being placed.
