Please join us for Professor Melanie Hezzell's inaugural lecture: What can dogs teach us about heart disease? Myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) is the commonest canine heart disease. MMVD is inherited and its severity varies from benign to a severe form that results in death in middle-age. This talk will describe a longitudinal study of canine MMVD, highlighting the progress made towards understanding this highly prevalent disease. Arrival will be from 16:30 for a 17:00 start (for a 1 hour lecture). From 18:00, there will be chance to enjoy refreshments with friends and colleagues for those who are joining us in person.
