DescriptionThe REDs Awards ceremony gives us the opportunity to recognise the achievements of our student athletes at Bristol. The ‘Bristol Red’ was first introduced in 1979, and since that time, over 400 students have received this award. Among these are World and Olympic champions, and all of them have performed in their chosen sport with great distinction. A Bristol RED and Director's Awards are the two of most prestigious sporting awards conferred by the University. Eligible students will have given outstanding performances on and off the pitch in their respective sports. Their achievements will place them at the pinnacle of their sport during their time at university. The event is a small and intimate occasion, held within one of Bristol’s iconic venues; where elite athletes and students who have shaped and driven university sport are honoured and recognised in front of their peers, friends, and family traditionally by the University Vice Chancellor.
