DescriptionThe International Conference of Medieval and Renaissance Scottish Language, Literature, and Culture is an exciting triennial conference showcasing new and innovative research in the field of premodern Scottish studies. The ICMRSLLC has a rich and vibrant history dating back to the mid-1970s (see https://icmrsllc.org/ for a history of venues and publications). This shop page is for registration to the 18th iteration of the conference, to be held at the University of Bristol from 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday 1st of July to 5:30 P. M. on Friday 3rd of July 2026. Additional (non-panel) events may be held on Saturday 4th of July for delegates who remain in Bristol after the conference ends. This year's conference will feature three keynote speakers (Anna Groundwater, National Museum of Scotland; Steven Reid, University of Glasgow; and Roderick Lyall, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) alongside over 50 delegate papers covering a broad range of topics related to premodern Scotland. The conference will also include several events, including workshops with Bristol Common Press, an excursion to St Mary's Redcliffe, and a concert and dinner at The Mount Without. The concert and dinner at The Mount Without will take place on Thursday 2nd of July from 5:00 - 10:00 P. M. Full details of this and other events will be circulated with the programme.
