This option should only be used if you are requesting a verification on behalf of an HEI or Government Body. Before this request can be fully processed you must ensure that a “CONSENT TO DISCLOSE” form, signed by the former student, is sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, giving the form student’s name in the subject box. A copy of the form can be found on the Examinations Office website or you may use your own form if you wish to do so.
All requests are addressed in order of receipt. Requests for verifications or replacement certificates are usually completed within 4 working days, although in busy periods or when the University is closed (such as over the Christmas and New Year period) they may take longer.
A verification of award:
· Confirms the name and date of birth of the former student
· Confirms the award of the former student
· Confirms the start and award dates of the former student
· Confirms the graduation date of the former student where applicable
The document is printed on headed paper. If the document is sent by post it will also bear the University of Bristol embossed seal.
