This service is only available to students in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law. You can only request a Bank Letter for yourself. Please do not request documents on behalf of other students.

Bank letters are normally used by students to open a bank account. They are produced for specific branches of particular banks around the University campus and centre of Bristol. When submitting your request, you will need to provide the name of the bank and the branch/address.

The Bank letter will include your Term and Home Address therefore you should check these are up-to-date in StudentInfo (www.bristol.ac.uk/studentinfo) before requesting.

If you live in University accommodation, the bank will require your room number therefore please ensure this is up-to-date in StudentInfo.

If you do not live in University accommodation, you will be required to bring your tenancy agreement with you when collecting the letter.

Letters take 3 working days to produce (except during busy periods). They are processed in the order they are received therefore you should ensure you submit your request in plenty of time to meet any deadlines you have been given.

You will receive an email when the letter(s) is available for collection.
